CONCOR achieves another milestone. In association with Railways, today, i.e. on 7th February 2021,1st ALVA10 BCA CBM Auto Wagon Rake carrying in all 302 Cars from Khatuwas, Near Delhi to Coimbatore arrived at CONCOR’s Private Freight Terminal, Coimbatore covering a distance of 2700 Kms approx in 95 hours. Various models of Maruti such as Alto, Ciaz, Ertiga, Ignis, Celerio, Vitara Brezza, Swift DZire, Wagon R, XL-6 etc were carried which would be distributed all over South Tamilnadu and Kerala said Mr G.R. Seshagiri Rao, Chief General Manager, CONCOR, Chennai.

CONCOR & Maruti Udyog had entered into a strategic long term agreement for transportation of Cars from Maruti’s Gurgaon Plant.

CONCOR had upgraded it’s Private Freight Terminal at Coimbatore and provided Stock yard cum Distribution facilities to Maruti which would entail tremendous costs savings and inventory management.

CONCOR is exploring and is in discussions with automobile manufacturers in Chennai and Bengaluru and offered them similar service to Northern States in India Mr Rao said in a press release.

Officials of CONCOR, Railways and Maruti Udyog were present on the occasion wherein Maruti Udyog had expressed happiness about logistics support given by CONCOR and stated that it would open a new chapter in the Automobile Transportation sector in India and expressed hope that CONCOR would consider to Open other Sectors as well.
