Enhanced Connectivity to Amritsar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Ahmedabad Strengthens Malaysia Airlines’ Presence in India
Malaysia Airlines is set to bolster its India network with the introduction of three new routes, enhancing connectivity and further solidifying its presence in the Indian aviation landscape. These new routes are poised to offer travelers more options and strengthen tourism ties between Malaysia and India.
The Three New Routes:
- Kuala Lumpur – Amritsar: Operating four times a week, this route will be served by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flights will depart from Kuala Lumpur on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Amritsar on the same day.
- Kuala Lumpur – Thiruvananthapuram: This route will operate three times a week, utilizing a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flights will depart Kuala Lumpur on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Thiruvananthapuram on the same day.
- Kuala Lumpur – Ahmedabad: With two weekly flights, this route will be operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Travelers can depart Kuala Lumpur on Wednesdays and Saturdays, arriving in Ahmedabad on the same day.
Expanding India Network:
These new routes will augment Malaysia Airlines’ India network, bringing the total number of destinations to nearly 10. The airline currently serves Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, and Pune.
Increased Flight Frequencies:
In addition to launching new routes, Malaysia Airlines is planning to boost flight frequencies on select existing routes. Notably, the airline will elevate its flight frequency between Kuala Lumpur and Delhi, transitioning from four times a week to daily flights.
