There’s set to be another participant on the thriving Asia – Europe container tradelane.
China United Lines (CU Lines), which was established in 2005 at first as a homegrown then intra-Asia administrator, is going it single-handedly, entering the east-west tradelane when rates are in record terriritory.
The organization’s first Asia – Europe service will withdraw southern China on February 6 on the 2,700 teu Laila, a ship sanctioned in from Peter Dohle. The service will call at Hamburg and Rotterdam, as indicated by an advert put through WeChat.
Rates from Asia to north Europe dropped 0.4% today, however are still up by 335% year-on-year.
