In order to facilitate smooth transit of the port users for port operation related work during the lockdown period from 8th to 16th May 2021 declared by the Govt. of Kerala, an online Transit Pass application system has been designed.

The port users are required to log on to the Cochin Port portal (see indtructions given below) to access this module and upload the information. Thereafter, upon approval by the Traffic Department, Cochin Port Trust, the respective applicant will get a SMS and can download the authorized Lockdown Transit Pass.

Instructions to Port Users to access the online application:

A. Port Account Holders

  1. Log on to Cochin Port Trust official website:
  2. Scroll down and click on “Customer Login”: .
  3. You can login with your account code followed by U01(Eg. If your account code is 100xxxx, your login id is 100xxxxU01).
  4. Your default password is ‘Copt123#$’. On logging in, you are requested to change your password by clicking on Change Password icon.
  5. After logging in, Navigate on Vessel Operations tab and click “Access Control:
  6. Scroll down on the left side bar and click “New Application” under “Lockdown Transit Pass”
  7. Fill in the respective details, upload copies of identity cards and click “Save & Exit”.
  8. Upon receiving the application, after verification, the Traffic Department will approve the pass.
  9. The Applicant will get a notification on SMS as well as the email id, giving the link form where the pass can be downloaded or print the pass.

B.Non-Account Holders

  1. Log on to Cochin Port Trust official website:
  2. Scroll down and click on “Customer Login” or
  3. Click “Wharf Entry Pass”, select Type of Pass as “Lockdown Transit Pass”, enter Mobile Number, Get OTP, Enter OTP, then ‘Retrieve Form’ and follow instruction ‘g’ to ‘i’ of para 3 above.

This process completely eliminates any requirement of furnishing request in hard copy and being a web-based service; the approved passes can even be downloaded on mobile phones.

Important: The respective employees must carry the identity card mentioned in the transit pass.
