Cochin Port Day, the commemoration of the entry of first ship into Cochin Harbour will be celebrated on 26th May 2022. The first ship-SS Padma entered the inner harbour of Cochin, through the widened and deepened Cochin gut on 26th May 1928.

The celebration will be held on 26th May 2022 at 3.30PM at Samudrika Hall, North End, Willingdon Island in which best performing Port Users and outstanding performers among the employees of the Port will be awarded.

Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, Hon’ble Governor of Kerala will be the Chief Guest of the event and Hon’ble Governor will address the gathering virtually. Dr. M. Beena IAS, Chairperson, Shri. P.K. Mohammed Yousaf IRS, Commissioner of Customs, Cmde Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Naval Officer-In-Charge, Members of the Board of Cochin Port Authority and representatives from the trade will be present. Entertainment programme will be staged by employees and their family members.

A ship will be available at the BTP Berth, North End, Willingdon Island for public visit from 10 AM to 4 PM on 26th May 2022.
