DP World has broken ground on the first phase of the Jafza Logistics Park Project a purpose-built logistics and trading development sitting on a total leasable area of well over 46,000 square meters at the Jebel All Free Zone (Jafza) in the Jebel Ali area at the far western end of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, near Abu Dhabi.

Referencing a statement by DP World, the Jafza Logistics Park Project that is meant to accommodate the ever-growing number of warehousing, logistics, and processing activities presently being carried out in Dubai, is set to reinforce the success of the logistics cluster in Jafza that since 2016 has seen impressive growth of 14%.

While 87% of the project will be dedicated and allocated to warehousing, the remaining space is said to be dedicated and allocated to office facilities. Businesses within the park will be able to not only leverage but also benefit from DP World’s integrated end-to-end logistics expertise as well as solutions as a data-driven supply chain logistics provider.

The Jafza Logistics Park Project is located right between Al Maktoum International Airport, Etihad Rail’s Jebel All Station, and Jebel All Port. This will allow for the facilitation of the seamless and efficient flow of goods within the region as well as across the world.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the CEO and Managing Director of DP World UAE & Jafza, Abdulla Bin Damithan, alongside the company’s leadership team.

Abdulla stated that the company recognized the critical role that the logistics sector plays in enabling growth within several industries throughout the world and revealed that Jafza is in alignment with key government initiatives that will boost economic growth, acknowledging the Dubai Silk Road strategy as a great example.
