The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) on Monday took delivery of a secondhand Midsize Gas Carrier “Jag Vikram” of about 35,188 cbm.

The company had contracted to buy the vessel in Q4 FY21.

As per the regulatory filing, including this vessel, the Company’s current fleet stands at 46 vessels, comprising 33 tankers (9 crude carriers, 18 product tankers, 6 LPG carrier) and 13 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 11.97 years aggregating 3.66 mn dwt.

Earlier, the company has contracted to buy 2013 built Japanese Supramax Bulk Carrier which is expected to be delivered in Q1 FY 2021-22.

On Sensex, GE Shipping ended at Rs292.30 per piece down by 2.2%.
