India – Security Manifest Documentation Fee (SMD)
Effective Date: Kindly note that effective March 15, 2021 the SMD charge will reflect as Indian Rupees (INR) 3,750 per Bill of Lading (subject to local tax) instead of US Dollars (USD) 35 per Bill of Lading on your invoice. Please note there is NO change to the charge but merely a conversion of currency from USD to INR.
Scope: Prepaid in India. The SMD charge is applicable for shipments from India into Europe, North America, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
