Pacific Basin has added another ultramax to its armada as indicated by agents.
The Hong Kong shipowner has been named by Intermodal and Advanced Shipping and Trading as the purchaser of Oshima-constructed (2011) ultramax Ultra Wollongong. The vessel has been accounted for as sold by Japan’s Kasuga Shipping for $13.8m, underneath its $14.32m market an incentive as per VesselsValue.
Pacific Basin is expecting four ultramaxes to convey into its armada in April, in the wake of taking care of business with Scorpio Bulkers last November. The organization as of now claims an armada of 112 bulkers, with a further 153 bulkers contracted in.
In the course of the most recent year, Pacific Basin CEO Mats Berglund has made no mystery of the organization’s arrangements to develop and recharge its claimed armada with bigger current used acquisitions, zeroed in on supramax and ultramax bulkers.
Berglund is set to resign on July 30, and will be supplanted by Ultragas CEO Martin Fruergaard.
