DP world have a designated area for Customs/CHA to conduct seal inspection in front of the Export processing Centre. All export containers carrying trucks will have to come to this location and inspect the seal as per the procedure. But it is noticed that instead of calling the trucks to inspection area for sealing checking, the same is happening in the parking area whereby exposing customs officers/ CHA to the risk of being hit by a moving truck. We have seen such accidents in other terminals and hence would like to avoid the same at ICTT Vallarpadam documentation centre. Therefore, we request your good office to kindly give suitable instruction to the customs officers to carry out the E-seal reading/inspection in a safe manner at the designated seal inspection area.
